Set your language and formats
Steerd speaks English and German. Which one you see is a personal setting, and it is separate from the language a document is written in.
Steerd is available in English and German. English is the base language; German is a full translation, not a partial one.
Changing your language
Open the account menu, top right, then Profile. The language you choose there is yours, not the workspace's. Your colleagues keep whatever they chose.
The change applies immediately, including number and date formats: German shows 65.000,00 and
06.08.2026, English shows 65,000.00.
Document language is a separate choice
This is the distinction that causes the most confusion, so it is worth stating plainly:
The language of the app is not the language of the documents it produces.
An invoice, a travel report, or a CV carries its own language, chosen on the document. You can work in an English interface and send a German invoice, which is exactly what many people working in Germany want.
So if a client complains that a PDF arrived in the wrong language, the setting to change is on the document, not in your profile.
Which language a client sees
Anything Steerd sends or renders for somebody outside your workspace follows the document, not you. Anything Steerd shows you follows your profile.
If the app comes up in the wrong language
Your browser's preferred language decides what you see before you have ever chosen one. Once you pick a language in your profile, that choice wins from then on.
